Burghley Horse Trials

The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is regarded as the premier equestrian event in the international sporting calendar and starts on 30th August 2012. Last years Event, which marked the 50th Anniversary of the Burghley Horse Trials, attracted crowds of over 200,000 people with even more people expected this year. The Event organisers have just announced that this year they will be running a (free!) Treasure Hunt for families with children aged 12 and under, between 9am and 12noon on Sunday 2nd September. Tickets for Burghley Horse Trials can be purchased in advance and are £46 for a four day ticket or £12 on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and £21 on Saturday. Car parking costs £8 if booked in advance or £25 for four days.
