2018 is looking like a busy year in Rutland! Here is a list of some of the local events taking place in the area this year!
Sunday 22nd April – The International CiCLE Classic, starting in Oakham at 11am
Sunday 29th April 2018 – Family Fun Drop In Day at Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre, Egleton. No need to book; bug hunting and pond dipping sessions start at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.
Friday 18th May – Sunday 20th May – International Horse Trials at Rockingham Castle
Friday 25th May to Monday 28th May – Grainstore Cider and Sausage Festival at the Grainstore Brewery
Saturday 19th May to Friday 1st June 2018 – The Active Rutland Walking and Cycling Festival
Sunday 3rd June 2018 – The Rutland County Show which takes place at the Rutland Show Ground in Oakham. Early Bird tickets are available online, at Walkers Bookshops and Uppingham Sports & Books until 28th May. Tickets after that date are £12.50. Kids goes free and parking is free too.
Friday 8th June to Sunday 10th June 2018 – The National Watersports Festival at Rutland Water
Saturday 16th June 2018 – Dambuster Triathlon
Sunday 17th June 2018 – Jousting and Medieval Living History Village at Rockingham Castle
Tuesday 26th June to Sunday 1st July 2018 – Oakham Festival
Wednesday 25th July to Sunday 29th July 2018 – Burghley Film Festival, Burghley House
Friday 17th- Sunday 19th August 2018 – International Birdfair at Rutland Water Nature Reserve
Thursday 23rd August to Monday 27th August 2018 – Annual Rutland Beer Festival, Grainstore Brewery, Oakham

Puddle Cottage is a 4 star, self catering cottage within walking distance to Rutland Water, including Rutland Sailing Club and Rutland Fishing Lodge.and only 8 miles away from the market towns of Oakham, Uppingham and Stamford. The cottage has 1 bedroom which can either be presented as a super king size bed or two full size single beds. The cottage maintains its original charm, such as exposed beams, stonework and open log fire but also offers modern facilities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and large flat screen TV with Freeview. WIFI is also available free of charge to our guests. Well behaved dogs are warmly welcomed.
