Wildlife Workshops at Rutland Water Nature Reserve

A few more of the popular ‘Wildlife Workshops’ have been organised by Rutland Water Nature Reserve

Watch out for Water Voles – Sunday 28th July 2013, 10am – 4pm: Lloyd Park, Reserve Officer at Rutland Water Nature Reserve will introduce you to the hidden world of Water Voles. Consisting of an informal talk covering field monitoring techniques, interactive identification and a guided walk to identify good habitat for Voles and identification of field signs.

An introduction to bumblebees –  Sunday 4th August 2013, 10am – 4pm.  An informative talk and workshop introducing you to the basics of bumblebee technology. This workshop is for all levels of expertise and is ideal for anyone wanting to improve their knowledge on bees.

Discovering bats – Sunday 25th August 2013, 2pm – 10pm. The evening session will involve a guided bat walk to listen to and identify the bats using bat detectors.
