Happy New Year from Puddle Cottage!

After a fantastic 2012 for Puddle Cottage, we would like to wish all our past, present and future  guests a very Happy New Year!

2012 has been a fantastic year for us. The cottage was fully renovated using local materials, local tradesmen and materials from local shops and  opened for business in August. Puddle Cottage was soon awarded its 4 star status by Visit England, and has also been rewarded with ‘Walkers Welcome’ and ‘Cyclists Welcome’ awards in due course. We have continued to make improvements to the cottage since opening and facilities include a dishwasher, tumble dryer, free standing freezer (perfect for fishermen), a flat screen TV with Freeview and WIFI which is available to our guests free of charge.

The cottage has been nearly fully occupied since opening in August and we have been inundated with enquiries and already have bookings going into December 2013. If you are looking for accommodation near Rutland Water then Puddle Cottage could be for you. The 4 star self catering cottage is located in the charming village of Edith Weston on the South shore of Rutland Water and is within walking distance to Rutland Sailing Club, Rutland Water Fishing Lodge and Normanton Church. The market towns of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham are also within 8 miles of the cottage which makes it the ideal base to explore all that Rutland has to offer. We also welcome well behaved dogs.
