Peterborough Cathedral

Peterborough Cathedral

If you are staying over the next week you may be interested in visiting Peterborough Cathedral to see the ‘Museum of the Moon.’

The stunning ‘Museum of The Moon’ arrived at Peterborough Cathedral yesterday and will be on show until 14th October. It has been hung from the ceiling at the Cathedral and is a real spectacle.

The artwork, which has been created by UK artist Luke Jerram, measures seven metres in diameter (500,000 times smaller than the real thing) and features thousands of detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.

Also on show at Peterborough Cathedral is the Soyuz spacecraft which took Tim Peake to the International Space Station, and back to Earth which is on show until 5th November 2018.

Entry to the Cathedral and the exhibition is free.
